At Magen Ptilim (Tzitzit Guard), we place the highest importance on providing equal, respectful, accessible, and professional service to all customers and visitors to the Website, including people with disabilities.

We have invested considerable resources and effort in developing the product and in making the Website accessible, out of a commitment to enable everyone to browse, understand, and purchase independently, comfortably, and on an equal footing. We work continuously to improve the Website's level of accessibility, and see every inquiry on the subject as an opportunity to improve.

Accessibility Standard

This website has been made accessible in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and meets the requirements of Israeli Standard IS 5568 for web content accessibility at Level AA, which is based on the international WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

The Website has been tested with assistive technologies, automated testing tools, and manual testing, including keyboard navigation and screen readers.

Accessibility Features

  • Full keyboard navigation: full navigation support (Tab, Enter, and arrow keys) across all Website components, menus, forms, and the FAQ accordion.
  • Visible focus: a clear, sharp focus indicator on every focusable element.
  • Screen readers and semantic structure: a consistent heading hierarchy and language and text-direction settings defined in the code, enabling accurate reading by leading screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).

  • Color and text contrast: a standard contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 between text and background.
  • Display adjustment and text enlargement: the Website displays correctly at font sizes up to 200% without loss of content, and supports browser zoom (Ctrl + +).
  • Reduced motion: the operating system's Reduced Motion setting is respected – visitors who have enabled it will see the Website without animations or scroll effects.
  • Accessible forms: each field is clearly linked to its label, and error messages are conveyed in words, not by color alone.
  • Mobile and handheld device support: action buttons with comfortable touch-target sizes and spacing that make touchscreens easier to use.

Partially Accessible Areas and Alternatives

  • Payment page: operated by an external payment processor and not under our direct control. We are in contact with the provider regarding its level of accessibility. Until the adjustments are completed, any order can be completed by phone or WhatsApp – on exactly the same terms and at exactly the same price.
  • Background videos: the background videos on the Website are purely decorative, carry no information, have no soundtrack, and are not required to complete a purchase.

Browsers and Assistive Technologies

The Website has been tested on and supports the latest versions of the leading browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari, on desktop computers and mobile devices. Using an old browser or an outdated version of an assistive technology may impair the browsing experience.
